Aamir Khan’s much-awaited sports drama Dangal official trailer 2016 is released. Aamir plays the role of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trains his daughters in wrestling.

Dangal official trailer 2016 movie is based on true life events of Phogat sisters who triumphed against all odds. It is not just a film about wrestling, it’s an emotional journey of a father and his two daughters, which teaches everyone to empower girls.

Dangal is an extraordinary true story based on the life of Mahavir Singh and his two daughters, Geeta and Babita Phogat. The film traces the inspirational journey of a father who trains his daughters to become world class wrestlers.

Aamir Khan will be seen as an ageing ex-wrestler with four daughters, two of whom are young adults.

The actor has undergone heavy weight and fitness training for this film. Aamir Khan went through a drastic transformation for this role. He had amassed 40 kg of body weight to fit the role of the older Mahavir Singh Phogat. It is a never-seen-before avatar of Aamir.

Two fresh faces Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh will play Aamir’s on-screen daughters. Sakshi Tanwar will play the role as Daya Kaur, wife of Aamir Khan in the movie.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, this sports based drama will release on December 23.
