Virat Kohli reacted to the Uri attack on Indian Army and said that he cannot explain his emotions.
A day after 17 Army personnel were killed in one of the worst terror attacks on the Army in Jammu and Kashmir, celebrities and stars in India continue to condemn the attack in Uri. Four heavily armed terrorists sneaked into the administrative buildings and store complex of an infantry battalion in Uri, home of the 12 Infantry Brigade, near the Line of Control (LoC). Apart from the 17 dead, 20 others were injured.
Virat Kohli, India Test captain, has also raised his voice against the terror attack and said that images from Uri ‘fill him up with emotions he can’t explain’. He also paid his respect to the martyrs. The cricketer tweeted a picture of the attack site in Uri with smoke cover the whole site.
The four terrorists, who attacked at 4am on Sunday, were gunned down by Army personnel after a three-hour gunbattle. The Army said its initial findings suggested that the terrorists belonged to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Muhammad and had come from across the LoC.
Kohli will lead the India cricket team in the upcoming Test series against New Zealand that begins on September 22 in Kanpur.
